Memories of Gisette: The Naga on the Bank

The young girl trudged slowly through the marsh. Her deep violet skin blended astonishingly well into the bog, though her headress and braids did not. Nor did her silken robe, addorned with prayer beads that clakced in time with her sandals as she walked across the stone beneath the spire.

Void Zone

Deep within the halls of Naxxramas lies an untold story. Beneath the horror of the plague and the silent screams of the dead exists a story of betrayal and dark, dark magic...

We were young once. Oh, we were young.

There was a day long ago... When my hair was long and dark with the texture of silk. My body was sweet and my face was soft... I was the fancy of many men. I lick my lips. They are dry and taste like salt. But I am not bitter. No woman could be bitter when she has felt the power of the Lich King.

Master of the Hunt

PROLOGUE

Kazlin wondered how much longer his burning leg muscles could carry him. Twenty minutes? Ten? He did not know. In fact, he could hardly keep his wits at all. Exhilaration. Fatigue. Panic. Each of the conflicting feelings ricocheted through his reeling emotional center. He did know what he needed to do – survive until sunrise – he just wasn’t sure how.

Ripples of Shadow - Prologue: The Beginning to an End

Ripples of Shadow
Prologue - The Beginning to an End

From her window in her lodgings at the The Gilded Rose, Moria could see some of the bustle of the city below her. Stormwind was an industrious city, perhaps not so much as Ironforge, but that’s what she loved. In the distance she could hear the clamor from the newly completed Stormwind Harbor. Smells of the ocean wafted through the city, and added to the aroma of fish and salt water was freshly cut timber. Ships of all sizes were being built en masse for the coming invasion of Northrend, where Arthas, the Lich King reigned.

"Arthas…” The name left a sour taste in Moria’s mouth. “We all do what we must, in the time we’re given.” She murmured to herself as she turned from the window. Moria was in her middle years, and a mage of above average skill. Some would say her to be more than handsome, if not pretty. Her auburn hair silhouetted a face with brilliant green eyes and a full red mouth. A vase filled with fresh roses stood on the night stand beside the dresser. I must remember to thank Allison later, she’s such a sweet woman, a wonderful innkeeper. Moria smiled at the thought of the roses; Allison knew of her love for flowers. Putting her attention back on the task at hand, she slid open the middle drawer of her dresser and drew out a folded parchment. A contact of hers gathered this information while in the company of a group of Kirin Tor that were headed for Northrend, and it was her duty to get it into the hands of yet another mage. Moria sighed. All of this based on the hunch of some bloody Warlock who thought she knew better than the Circle of Elders amongst the Mages of Dalaran. Well, as it turned out, the bloody Warlock happened to be right. Moria opened the parchment, and re-read its contents for at least the tenth time today.

The Gladiators

Introduction: The Golden Age

Long ago in the lands of Azeroth, there were five guilds of power throughout the land. Each guild was part of The Grand Alliance, consisting of Night Elves, Men, Dwarves, and Gnomes. Their mission was to defend the Alliance from the savage Horde, consisting of Orcs, Trolls, Tauren, and the Forsaken Undead.

The First Guild, Denial, held the utmost power and was the head guild of the Alliance, this guild maintained the capital cities of the Alliance.
The Second, Veritas, watched over the Blasted Lands, guarding the Dark Portal, from falling into of the hands of the Horde.
The Third, Virulent Vanguard, patrolled the far off lands of Kalimdor, watching over the Ashenvale forest.
The Fourth, Genesis, protected the Hillsbrad foothills from Undead invasion.
And The Fifth, The Gladiators, watched over the port cities of Theramore and Menethil Harbor.

For years these guilds protected their Alliance from the Horde, but it was not always that way. In the deserts of Silithus, near the Ruins of Ahn Qiraj, the Horde amassed into an army, large enough to challenge the five guilds of power. Growing in strength, the Horde forces banded together and formed their own guilds, Liquid Reality, and Grim Riders. Then the Horde marched to Azshara, under the control of the young guild, Denial.

The battle was long and bloody though, rising weak, but victorious was Denial. Meese, the leader of Denial, knowing it was only a matter of time before the Horde regrouped in Silithus, Meese decided that it would be prudent to march for Silithus as soon as possible. However, Denial was weak, and he knew that Denial could not take on the Horde alone. For days Meese pondered what the solution may be until he came up with a plan. He would summon together any guild willing to aid him against the Horde and unite them. Sending Ambassadors, Meese waited for months for a reply from any guild. Finally the Ambassadors returned from their long journey. Four of the ten brought with them replies of aid. These four were, Veritas, Genesis, Virulent Vanguard, and The Gladiators. Banding together, the five guilds marched for Silithus and confronted Liquid Reality for a final battle.

Finally after weeks of battle Liquid Reality fell. The lands were once again safe and so the guilds put together a security system to ensure that nothing like this could ever happen again.

Together these guilds maintained peace throughout the land.
Until the chaos of the Burning Legion fell upon them....

Heroes

Prologue:

Azeroth.... only months ago the Dark Portal opened, allowing the demonic Burning Legion to once more return to the world. The shattered land of Draenor, now called Outland has become the front lines of the battle. The Burning Crusade soon began and with it, tales of adventurers and heroes banding together to fight a common cause. Illidan sent out his forces into the battle, causing a four way war between the Burning Legion, Horde, Alliance, and Illidari. Against all odds the heroes pressed on, defeating Illidan once and for all. The heroism continued as Prince Kael'thas was defeated when he turned against his people, the Blood Elves and joined forces with the Burning Legion. Soon the trolls of the Amani, led by Zul'Jin attacked the Blood Elves, intending to wipe them out, however both the Horde and the Alliance, realizing that they needed the Blood Elves to help fight the Burning Legion, came to the Blood Elves' aid. Only recently, Kil'Jaeden himself joined the fight, controlling the Blood Elves once coveted Sunwell. Before long Kil'Jaeden also met his end. Now the Horde and Alliance are left fighting the rest of the Burning Legion, but not without a feeling of doubt. Whispers of great happenings in the cold wastelands of Northrend have begun to reach the ears of both the Horde and Alliance. Rumors that The Lich King himself has returned, and this time he is more powerful than ever before. Months and months ago undead armies of the Scourge, the Lich King's servants, attacked both Horde and Alliance cities. Each faction succeeded in driving off the Scourge, but questions remain. Was this truly a setback for the Lich King? The Lich King's plan for his Scourge to once again attempt to purge the living from Azeroth seems to be turning into a more and more mysterious rumor then ever. Soon after the Scourge's attack, Kel'Thuzad, the commander of all Scourge remaining on Azeroth, in the Plaguelands, was killed. Does this mean that the Lich King has been truly setback? Only time will tell....
